The air cargo of Spanish airports grows 13.3% in March

 

The AENA network registered an increase of 13.3% in March for the volumes of air cargo, a figure that stands at 99,111,799 kg of goods manipulated in the airports of the country. This increase means that the cumulative one of the first quarter of 2019 is firing 8%. The total accumulated load during this first quarter is 254,828,408 kg.

 

This growth occurs especially in the airports of Zaragoza and Barcelona, as well as the international airport of Murcia, which is placed in the sixth position by volumes of load moved.

The Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport presents an increase of 5.3% in March for a total of 48,778,585 kg of air cargo, which accumulates an increase of 5.7% in the quarter. The airport of Zaragoza, meanwhile, handled 17,327,556 kg in the last month, an additional 24.3% per year and 15.8% compared to the first three months of last year.

Just behind Barcelona-El Prat airport is placed with 16.271.602 kg moved in the last month, which imply an increase of 15.2% compared to March of 2018 and an accumulated increase in the year of 9%.

Finally, the airport of Valencia stands out with a growth of 147.5% from March of last year. In the third month of 2019, it handled a total of 2,954,119 kg of air cargo.
